Game Update:

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is ready to return to the starting line-up for the clash with Manchester City. He's been struggling with a groin injury and is set for a comeback after a successful injection. Manchester City's Gareth Barry is also expected to play despite has a slight groin strain.

Eduardo is preparing to replace Robin van Persie in the Arsenal team after the Dutchman was ruled out for six weeks with an ankle injury. The Gunners will also be without Kieran Gibbs when they face Sunderland after he suffered a foot injury playing for the England U21 side.

Manchester United have dismissed reports claiming Rio Ferdinand will be out until the New Year, but he'll definitly miss the Everton game with a back problem. Jonny Evans is also struggling so Wes Brown could partner Nemanja Vidic in the centre of defence.

Ashley Cole is in-line to make a surprise return for Chelsea against Wolves. The England left-back has made a remarkable recovery from a leg injury and has been training in specially made shin pads. His namesake Carlton Cole is also on course to make a comeback following a hamstring problem.
