The Basics

Playing Sky Sports Fantasy Football for the 2011/12 Premier League season couldn’t be simpler!

It’s FREE to play and features our new LIVE SCORING on match days. And there’s a top prize of £25,000 up for grabs and an overall prize fund worth over £100,000.

Here’s a summary of the game to get you started:

Team Selection

• You can set your team up in the following formations: 4-4-2,  4-3-3,  5-3-2,  3-5-2  or  4-5-1
• Select 11 players to your preferred formation within a budget of £75M
• Select a captain who will score double points both positive and negative

Transfers and Captain Changes

• Make unlimited changes to your XI up to kick-off of the first Premier League fixture on August 13^th
• Make up to 30 transfers during the season
• No more than 5 transfers per calendar month
• A maximum of 1 captain change per game week

Point Scoring

• Players will score points for making an appearance in a match
• Players will score points for scoring goals or making goal assists
• Goalkeepers and defenders will score points for clean sheets but will lose points for goals conceded and goalkeepers will score points for a penalty save or miss
• Points will be awarded for a man of the match performance as chosen by Skysports.com
• Points will be deducted for yellow and red cards and for a penalty miss
• Captains will score double points – positive and negative

Prizes

• Prizes to the value of more than £100,000 including a £25,000 prize to the overall winner
• Weekly and monthly prizes
• Other prizes include: The Early Bird prize, Starting XI prize, Knock-out Cup prize, 2^nd Half League prize and Private League prize

Private Leagues & Private Leagues +

• Set up your own or join a Private League with friends, colleagues and family
• Your team may participate in a maximum of 3 Private Leagues
• Choose to stake a wager and create a cash prize Private League +
• Your team may participate in a maximum of 2 Private Leagues+

Public Leagues

• Join a Public League and play against Sky Sports pundits
• Choose to join the Sky Sports News League, the Soccer Saturday League, the Soccer AM League, the Goals on Sunday League, the Take it like a Fan League, the Football 365.com League or all of them! There is no limit to the number of Public Leagues you can join.
• Your team may participate in Public Leagues in addition to 3 Private Leagues
