The Basics

Playing Sky Sports Fantasy Football for the 2012/13 Premier League season couldn’t be simpler!

It’s FREE to play and features our new and improved LIVE SCORING on match days. And there’s a top prize of £25,000 up for grabs and an overall prize fund worth over £100,000.

Here’s a summary of the game to get you started:

Team Selection

  • You can set your team up in the following formations: 4-4-2,  4-3-3,  5-3-2,  3-5-2  or  4-5-1
  • Select 11 players to your preferred formation within a budget of £75M
  • Select a captain who will score double points both positive and negative

Transfers and Captain Changes

  • Make unlimited changes to your XI up to kick-off of the first Premier League fixture on August 18th
  • Make up to 30 transfers during the season
  • No more than 5 transfers per calendar month
  • A maximum of 1 captain change per game week, these changes need to be completed before the first game in a game week. Game weeks run Saturday to Friday.

Point Scoring

  • Players will score points for making an appearance in a match
  • Players will score points for scoring goals or making goal assists
  • Goalkeepers and defenders will score points for clean sheets but will lose points for goals conceded and goalkeepers will score points for a penalty save or miss
  • Points will be awarded for a man of the match performance as chosen by Skysports.com
  • Points will be deducted for yellow and red cards and for a penalty miss
  • Captains will score double points – positive and negative
  • 2 additional Bonus points will be awarded if a player completes more than 60 passes in a single Premier League game
  • 2 additional Bonus points will be awarded if a player successfully tackles an opposition player on more than 4 occasions.

Private Leagues & Private Leagues +

  • Set up your own or join a Private League with friends, colleagues and family
  • Your team may participate in a maximum of 3 Private Leagues
  • Choose to place a friendly wager with Private League + competitors and we will pay out the winnings with the wagers you chose
  • Your team may participate in a maximum of 2 Private Leagues+

Live Scoring

  • See your Fantasy team match day points rack up live as the action happens
  • The Live Scoring will be an indication of the points that your team has earned during the course of the games with your final and confirmed total coming the morning after each Game Day
  • The Bonus points will be displayed separately from the classic scoring points in order for you to see exactly where your hard earned points have come from
